class of 2009

Happy Graduation to my brother Lucas! He'll be going to Michigan State in the Fall.
The Tondera household has been crazy all week, getting ready for his grad party next weekend. But I've been assigned the fun job of looking through old photo albums to pull out the cute/embarrassing photos to put up on posterboard for all Lucas' guests to see! 1993 was a good year.

hula hoopin' picnic

Yesterday was such a fun day of hula hoopin' and picnickin' down by the river in Ann Arbor! Many thanks to Irene and Angie for handcrafting our hula hoops!! Above, Angie shows off her 3-at-a-time skillzzz, while Mickey proves that he can multi-task.

creeptown drawings

I found this page of drawings from when I was younger while cleaning out my room at my parents' house. They are so creepy! Why did I draw these? I'm mainly questioning the reasoning behind the mustached egg-head man.

On an unrelated note, nice reviews of Ghost Comics can be found here and here!

Fireworks + brothers + sunburn. And a broken jet ski. A Lake Huron weekend, up at the family cottage!

o beautiful, for patriot dream

I just need to take a moment to say that I LOVE AMERICA. I cried when I saw the Detroit River and skyline out the airplane window on my flight from London last weekend. I really do love England, but the U.S. is my home! I am so proud to be a U.S. citizen. I think it took living abroad at this age to really make me realize how thankful I am for the freedoms we have in this wonderful country.

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY, AMERICA IS INDEPENDENT OF ENGLAND (just as I am now independent of England)! Ohhhh the timing.

+ + + + +

And if you happen to find yourself in Port Sanilac, Michigan tomorrow...
COME TO MY 50¢ GARAGE SALE where I'm attempting to sell about half of my Michigan possessions!! I'm pricing everything at 50¢ each because WHO DOESN'T LOVE DEALS!? I even made patriotic posters with the above American cat on it.
The cat is being cradled by America! Like a hug.
